GetUp - Virtual Learning Environment
Get Up is a European project focused on promoting gender equality through education and training. It develops innovative tools and resources to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and encourages inclusive practices in schools, workplaces, and communities. The project strengthens equality by empowering individuals and organizations to embrace diversity and fairness.
Highlights
The Get Up training was delivered via a Virtual Learning Environment. Participants could register, access course material, and complete assessments that were automatically marked. Upon passing, learners were automatically awarded certificates, ensuring an accessible, structured, and efficient way to build awareness and foster equality.
Technology
The Get Up Virtual Learning Environment was built on Moodle, a widely used open-source learning management system. Core Moodle modules such as Quiz enabled automated assessments, while the Certificate module handled automatic generation and awarding of certificates upon successful completion. The Enrollment module managed participant registrations, and Course modules structured the training material into clear, accessible sections. Together, these tools provided a seamless learning experience, ensuring efficient delivery, assessment, and recognition of gender equality training.
